Why do we need The Cold War Museum?
Because what happened during the Cold War era contains lessons we need to learn now.
During the Cuban Missile Crisis the “unthinkable” almost happened. Both the US and the USSR came close to launching nuclear bombs at each other.
Why? How could national leaders put the world at such risk? Could it happen again?
We need The Cold War Museum so we do not forget what happened and what could have happened. We need it to help us think about how to keep it from ever happening.
Please help make The Cold War Museum a reality. We need your support to plan, design, develop and build the Museum’s first phase, scheduled to open in the fall of 2008. This phase will tell the story of fear of nuclear annihilation, the basis for the policy of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD), and our preparation for the worst through Civil Defense – a subject that is just as relevant today as ever.
Gifts at all levels are needed and appreciated. Donors of $1,000 or more will be recognized on a permanent plaque in The Cold War Museum.
Thank you for your support.

We Need Your Help to Build a Permanent Home &
a National Cold War Memorial

In addition we are looking to establish the National Cold War Memorial to honor our Heroes. You can help us, and future generations to come, by:
