Educational Programs
The Cold War Museum is pleased to offer a growing number of educational programs including a Spy Tour of Washington, DC, mobile displays, book signings, and lectures.
The Museum also produces a quarterly online newsletter called The Cold War Times® Magazine.

The Museum visits numerous grade schools, high schools, colleges, and universities in order to teach students about Cold War events and activities. The Museum assists with educational programming for the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, A&E, the Learning Channel, C-SPAN, and numerous public access stations.
The Museum is working with the Embassies of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia to preserve their Cold War History.
A few years ago, after requesting assistance from the Cold War Museum, two students from Eisenhower High School in Houston, Texas won top honors at the National History Day finals, where they won the History Channel's Award for the Best Senior Entry on an International Theme.
Past Cold War Conferences
To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Sputnik in October 2007, the Cold War Museum co-hosted a conference with NVCC-Loudoun Campus, NASA, Dulles Marriott, and Barnes & Noble. Panelists included Sputnik author, Paul Dickson, Sergei Khrushchev, and the Director of NASA history office.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Prague Spring of 1968, the museum worked with the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Polish and Hungarian Uprisings of 1956 the Cold War Museum organized the following conference in october 2006. Panelists included Sergei Khrushchev, David Eisenhower, Hungarian Freedom Fighters, and Embassy officials.
In addition to conferences, The Cold War Museum hosts a variety of educational programs.
